Proofreading Service
Proofreading catches lingering typographical, spelling, and punctuation errors, as well as formatting inconsistencies. This is the very last stage of the writing process, after the manuscript has been edited. It does not include grammar, syntax, or flow corrections.
Copy and Line Editing
Copy and line editing improve the readability and quality of your manuscript through direct edits to improve grammar, syntax, word choice, clarity, consistency, and the flow of information. We ensure your writing is easily digestible, intelligible, and cohesive. We'll challenge you to sharpen your arguments, strengthen connections across ideas, and synthesize information where necessary.
Developmental Editing
Developmental editing is offered via two tiers: comments-only and intensive editing. The comments-only tier is best for scholars seeking a mix of targeted and holistic feedback on how to improve their manuscripts. The intensive editing tier includes direct edits for structural changes, synthesis of like-information, reduction of redundancies, as well as suggestions for improving your argumentation or analysis.
APA 7 Citation Review & Audit
This service is a comprehensive and rigorous review of your reference list and in-text citations for APA compliance. We seek and find each source to verify its elements (i.e., author, publication date, title, source, and DOI/URL) and add missing information as necessary. We also run and address a citation audit to ensure each in-text citation has a corresponding reference entry and vice versa.
In-text APA 7 Formatting
In-text APA formatting ensures all of your body text is appropriately formatted in APA 7. This includes your headings, tables, figures, appendices, and copyright attributions. We also fix incorrect usage of acronyms, capitalization, italicization, present tense, third person, nested parentheses, quotations, etc. All changes are made explicitly based on the APA 7th edition standards manual.
University Formatting
We'll format your thesis or dissertation to match your university's template or guidelines, including pagination and creating or editing a navigable table of contents, list of tables, and list of figures.
